Product Summary
Peltier controller driver | |
---|---|
TDC-1000A series | One-channel digital temperature controller for Peltier devices. The temperature converting unit, PID control unit, and bipolar constant current driver are integrated.C4 |
TDU-5000A(R/G) series TDM-5000A(R/G) series |
DIN-sized one-channel digital Peltier controller driver. The temperature converting unit, PID control unit, and bipolar constant current driver are integrated in a compact body of 96 x 96 mm (DIN standard panel). You can achieve temperature control of Peltier devices just by supplying a DC power. TDM-5000 with no display unit is also available. |
TDC-1600 series | One-channel digital temperature controller for Peltier devices. The temperature converting unit, PID control unit, and bipolar constant current driver are integrated. |
TDC-1640/1660 series | The TDC-1640/1660 series are one-channel digital controllers for high capacity Peltier devices (1200W/1800W types). The temperature converting unit, PID control unit, and bipolar high-efficiency constant current driver are integrated. You can achieve temperature control of Peltier devices just by supplying an AC power. It achieves control stability of ±0.03℃ even though it is of a high power type. With an interface with a PC provided as standard, it can work with any type of system. |
TDC-2000/4000 series | (Peltier controller driver with a control accuracy of 1/100℃) Highly accurate control is achieved based on the TDC-2000/4000 series.Overshoot suppression control is added with an easy-to-use interface. |
TDC-2000/4000G series | Highly accurate control of ±0.002℃ is achieved based on the conventional TDC-2000/4000R series. The all-in-one TDC series includes a lineup of 9 models. A platinum resistance thermometer sensor, thermistor, or IC sensor (optional) can be used as a temperature sensor. |
TDC-2000/4000R series | (Two/Four-channel digital temperature controller) The temperature converting unit, PID control unit, and bipolar constant current driver are integrated. An interface with a PC is provided as standard. |
Controllers | |
---|---|
LCD1600 | Equipped with LD/Peltier control, it achieves high output of 300W each. |
LCD2000/4000 (Two-channel LD controller) |
It can perform LD current control (ACC) and LD temperature control (PID). An interface with a PC is provided as standard. |
Peltier controller selection method
Select a controller with a drive voltage that satisfies the 4 parameters (1. Voltage, 2. Current, 3. Power, and 4. Internal loss*) required for a thermo-electric (Peltier) module.
Allowable internal loss* (Pd) values for different models (per channel)TDC-1000A: 60W, TDC-2000: 36W, TDC-4000: 18W (per channel)
Is Current x Resistance (= Vt / It) (required for the thermo-electric (Peltier) module) 1/2 or less of the maximum drive voltage (Vc) of the controller?
If Yes:
Acceptable if (Vc-Vt) x It is Pd or less.
Example: Using a 5V6A thermo-electric (Peltier) module with TDC-1020
(15-5)×6=60W
→ It can be used because the allowable internal loss of TDC-1020 is Pd=60W
If No:
Acceptable if (Vc/2)² x (It/Vt) is Pd or less.
Example: Using a 12V10A thermo-electric (Peltier) module with TDC-1020
(15/2)² ×(10/12)=46.875W
→ It can be used because the allowable internal loss of TDC-1020 is Pd=60W.
